The NLNG Overseas Postgraduate Scholarship initiative began in October 2012, with 15 recipients being accepted each year to study at top UK institutions. The scholarship is worth USD67,500 per award winner each year of study. Nonetheless, depending on the level of study, the actual cost per scholar is between USD45,000 to USD67,500.
Environmental Studies, Engineering, Management, Accountancy, Economics, Information Technology, Geology, Banking, Law, and Medicine are among the subjects covered under the plan.
Many recipients are currently studying at a variety of UK universities. The initiative has so far helped over 78 people at a cost of over N1.308 billion ($4.27 million).
Requirements:
- Hold provisional admission to one of the following disciplines; Engineering, Geosciences, Environmental Sciences, Management Sciences, Information Technology, Law, and Medicine
- At the University of Aberdeen or the University of Cranfield both in the UK
- Have a second-class upper-division (2:1) degree in a related field of study.
- Have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program
- A minimum IELTS score of 8.0 (not less than 7.0 in each element).
- You must be under the age of 30.
- Be Nigerian citizens who live in Nigeria.
- Provide identity documents from their local government areas (LGAs).
- Hold an international passport that is valid for at least one year starting in September 2022.
- If chosen, they must be able to secure a tier-4 visa and show proof that they are available to travel in September 2022.
- Not be directly related to Nigeria LNG Limited employees.
